While searching for acorns on the holm-oaks, the pigs are constantly exercising, and this exercise, along with the infiltrated fat, gives the meat its moistness and firm texture, obtaining an extra quality product with extraordinary aroma and outstanding taste.
The natural habitat in which pigs are, spacious pastures of Extremadura where Iberian pigs are in continuous movement, full of holm oaks and acorns, as well as the weather in the area, make it get one of the best Pure Acorn-fed Iberian shoulders.
